Affiliate programme terms

Last updated Oct 29, 2026

These terms govern the Scrape Engine affiliate programme run by [Company name] (“we”). An account holder who joins it (“affiliate”) accepts them, on top of the terms of service. Joining is free and can be ended at any time.

1. How it works

  • Each affiliate gets a personal link (?ref=your-code). A visitor who follows it gets a first-party cookie for 7 days; an account created within those 7 days is attributed to the affiliate. The first link followed wins; an account is never attributed afterwards, nor to its own holder.
  • For the next 12 months after it signs up, every payment the referred account makes (subscriptions and credit packs) earns the affiliate a commission of 30 % of the amount paid, excluding taxes. The rate and duration shown on the affiliate dashboard when the payment is made apply; we may agree another rate with an affiliate.
  • Free credits, trials, promo-code discounts and amounts refunded or disputed earn nothing.

2. Hold and payout

  • A commission is held for 30 days after the payment. A refund, a chargeback or a dispute during that time cancels it.
  • Commissions are paid by transfer to the affiliate’s Stripe Connect account once the amount payable reaches €50. Stripe collects the identity and bank details it needs (we never see them) and pays out to the bank account on its own schedule. Without a Stripe account able to receive transfers, commissions stay payable.
  • Commissions are paid in the currency of the payment. Any Stripe or bank fees on the affiliate’s side are theirs.
  • The affiliate is an independent party, not an employee or agent. They are responsible for declaring this income and for any tax, social contribution or registration it requires where they live (in France, for instance, as a micro-entrepreneur or under the rules for occasional income). We may have to report payments to the tax authorities when the law requires it.

3. What affiliates may not do

  • Refer themselves, an account they control, or anyone through fake, incentivised or automated sign-ups.
  • Send unsolicited emails or messages (spam), or post the link where it isn’t allowed.
  • Bid on our brand name or close variants in search ads, or use domains, accounts or pages that could be mistaken for ours.
  • Make claims about Scrape Engine that are false or misleading, or promise discounts we don’t offer.
  • Hide that the link is an affiliate link: each recommendation must say so clearly (“affiliate link”, “sponsored”), as consumer and advertising law requires (in France, article 20 of the LCEN and the rules on commercial influence).
  • Promote Scrape Engine for uses its acceptable use policy forbids.

A breach lets us cancel the commissions it produced, suspend the affiliate account, or end it, with no compensation. Fraudulent commissions already paid may be claimed back.

4. Changes and end

  • We may change the rate, durations, minimum payout or these terms; the affiliate is told by email at least 30 days before a change that reduces what they earn, and changes apply to payments made after that date. A change to these terms asks for a new acceptance on the dashboard.
  • We may end the programme with 30 days’ notice. Commissions earned before the end are paid once their hold is over.
  • An affiliate may leave by writing to [contact@yourdomain]; deleting their account ends it too. Commissions payable on that day are paid if a Stripe account can receive them.

5. Personal data

We process which account referred which, the payments of referred accounts and the commissions, to run the programme (contract) and keep accounting records (legal obligation, 10 years). Referred users are not told who referred them. Stripe processes the affiliate’s identity and bank details as its own controller. See the privacy policy.

6. Law

These terms are governed by French law. Disputes go to the [City] courts, unless a mandatory rule says otherwise.
